PC gaming master race.
ITGS- A Tech World
Tuesday, March 3, 2015
I don't have a link for this, but I think it's worth talking about considering that I'm an avid gamer myself and that I love the gaming community what it stands for. When it comes to gaming, very few games are highly publicized. Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and other mainstream shooters are known worldwide because their publish company has the money to ensure that you can't avoid the posers and commercials for their game. And it's not that their bad games, because they aren't, it's just that they aren't the only games out their, and not necessarily the best ones either. For the most part, the games that get advertising money are blockbuster shooters that have 3 years in development and hundreds or thousands of employees developing it, but what about the little guys? What about the couple of college students who built a game in their appartment between classes? Does this mean that they're any less important? Or that their games are any less fun or entertaining to the public? Not necessarily. That's why I love the electronic platforms like Steam that accept companies and beginner developers alike onto their platform to be offered to the public as equals. This allows indie games like The Binding of Isaac, Risk of Rain, and Monaco to rock the gaming community as they should. They deserve credit for what they are, and not for how deep their pockets are. Steam offers all the games on it's database to the community and allows them to categorize it by tags (RTS, FPS, Causal, Multiplayer, Singleplayer, etc.) and give it a rating and a text review. This allows all types of video game genres to coexist within their own realms, unhindered by each other's progress.
Sandisk 200GB Micro SD

Okay, so today we're talking about the new Sandisk micro sd card. So, for those who aren't familiar with what a microSD card is, it's essentially a very small digital storage card that is typically used on small devices such as phones. What's unique about the new Sandisk microSD card however, is that's got a whopping 200gb of storage space. This was unheard of for a microSD until just earlier this week when this chip was released in stores. The reason this is so groundbreaking is because it defies the current understanding of the physical limits of the chip, and exceeding them by an astonishing amount. This is no doubt attributed to the theory that the size of a chip halves every two years. Although that theory wasn't directed specifically at storage space and SD cards, it certainly shows a trend in all of technology.
